C-07 Audit and inspection rights clause

Lets the buyer check the supplier's production, records and treatment claims, which is the only way to verify an ISPM 15 mark or a grading claim at the source.

Last reviewed October 27, 2026. How we check facts

§1Model wording

7.1 Access. On [5] business days' notice, the Buyer or its agent may visit the facilities where Pallets are made or sorted, during working hours, no more than [twice] per year unless a quality issue is open.

7.2 Records. The Seller shall keep, for [2] years, production, grading and (where applicable) heat-treatment records for Pallets supplied, and provide copies on request.

7.3 Treatment. Where Pallets are supplied as ISPM 15 compliant, the Seller shall maintain enrolment with an accredited inspection agency and notify the Buyer within [2] business days of any suspension.

Values in [square brackets] are yours to set. Have counsel review before use; this is not legal advice.

§2Negotiation notes

7.3 matters for exporters: if a supplier's enrolment lapses, marked pallets may be refused at a destination port.
