When you ship pooled pallets to a customer, you report the transfer so the pallets leave your account. Some pools charge per pallet transferred; others build it into a flat rate.
Late or missing transfer reports leave pallets on your account and keep rental running. Disputed transfers are a common source of lost-pallet charges, so keep your own shipping records by pallet count.
